About Us

Why “Perry’s”?

Look up at the quarry wall across the lake and you might spot our namesakes: Peregrine falcons nest on the cliff face directly opposite the cafe. Officially we’re the Peregrine Social Club — but everyone just calls us Perry’s.

Our Story

Perry’s opened its doors in February 2024, and it was a long time coming. When residents first bought into the Valley Lake estate, they were promised a local cafe — and they waited more than 15 years for it. We’re proud to finally be that place: 3033’s social meeting point, right on the water.

Our home has quite a history too. Valley Lake sits in the former Niddrie Quarry, which once supplied the basalt that paved Melbourne’s roads. The old quarry was transformed into the residential estate and lake you see today — with the dramatic cliff walls (and their resident falcons) as a reminder of its past.

More Than a Cafe

We’re a social club at heart. Join the Weekly Sunday Run Club, come down for Sunday Sessions from 2pm with acoustic music and Spritz specials, or just grab a coffee on the deck and watch the lake. Family friendly, dog friendly (free Puppacinos!), and open 7 days.
